Diane Durant

As a Carter Community Artist alum ('18), I had the privilege of leading the art activity in December. The theme was Art & Advocacy in honor of what would have been Ruth Carter Stevenson's 100th birthday. Participants in my creative activity made a poster connected to an issue they are passionate about and then chose a space or specific work in the gallery near which to have their portrait taken. Digital prints were made for each participant as well as for the Carter to put on display in the Atrium during the event.
